The foundation of the BreakthroughM2 program, a nutritional weight loss and detox plan, combines a specially formulated naturopathic liquid supplement, a low-calorie diet and supportive educational coaching sessions for efficient weight loss. I became aware of the BreakthroughM2 program when I was visiting my brothers in New York (see story below). My oldest brother lost a tremendous amount of weight in a short period of time, and looked fantastic! He told me all about the program and introduced me to Nan DeGroat, the founder, owner and creator of the BreakthoughM2 program. I was fascinated and since I had gained weight over the past couple of years decided to try the program. I lost 18 lbs. in 23 days and felt energetic, fit, clean from the inside out, and happy. Knowing many of my clients struggle with weight, I decided to bring the program to Virginia.

The original brainchild of this program is Dr. A.T.W. Simeons who devoted his life to the study of obesity. His findings, published in 1954, proved how certain natural supplements, combined with a low calorie diet, can actually help the body burn unwanted (or adipose) fat without affecting the "normal" fat vital to the body's functioning. Weight loss was effective and rapid.

Although Dr. Simeons supplement contained the HCG hormone, the BreakthroughM2 product does not. The natropathic product is comprised of amino acids, minerals and homeopathic remedies. The effects of the product mimic the effects of Dr. Simeons product. The BreakthroughM2 product is made in an FDA approved lab. It is always recommended to consult your physician prior to starting any weight loss & detox program.

Program Highlights

  • You're in charge: You choose, prepare and plan your meals from the list of acceptable foods.
  • You eat real food: Choose from a list of protein (meats, fowl and fish), vegetables and fruits daily. No bars, shakes, packaged or processed foods.
  • Weight loss is efficient and timely: The average weight loss for individuals following the program is ½ a day and a range of 12 - 20 lbs. in a three week period of time
  • Requires only low to moderate exercise: Because you are on a low calorie diet, low to moderate exercise is recommended. Walking 30 minutes a day, a stretch class or gentle yoga class will be your best exercise routines while on the plan.
  • Helps establish healthy patterns: Because this is a clean eating nutritional weight loss program, you will learn how to eat better, control your portions, avoid certain foods, and develop healthy eating habits to sustain you for the rest of your life.
  • Individual or team support provided: You may sign up for individual wellness coaching or group coaching for person to person support. You may sign up for the Private Facebook page and learn what others are saying and reporting, and see before and after photos. This builds a team feeling, a sense of togetherness knowing others are on the program.

How it Works in Practice

You begin the 6-week program taking the nutritional weight loss drops and low calorie diet. You participate in a wellness consult, and choose to follow through with time limited individual sessions or group sessions to keep you on track, answer your questions, receive support and keep your mindset positively focused.

If you have reached your ideal weight after 3 weeks, you begin the 3 week transition plan by adding foods back into your eating plan: more food choices, more calories and optional use of "transition drops". You will lose a few more pounds while on the transition plan. After these six weeks you adapt to a clean eating, life style regimen and a normal exercise program. You can always sign up for additional support sessions to maintain your mindset.

If you have not reached your goal in 6 weeks, you can continue using the drops and low calorie plan until you do.

Lunch and Learn events are held every few weeks at local restaurants and business venues. This is the simplest and most cost effective way to learn about the BreakthroughM2 program. You have the opportunity to ask questions, meet Suzanne and find out if it is right for you. Venue fees range $50 - $55 and include a chef prepared lunch.

Suzanne's Personal Story

For nearly my entire adult life, I have been a very active, athletic, energetic and healthy woman. I was a runner who ran the local 10K races, a cyclist who rode 30-40 miles a weekend and spin classes during the week, and a gym rat, who lifted weights 2-3 times a week. Although I carried about 5-6 lbs. more than my ideal weight, I was always fit and in shape and accepted my body.

My health changed in 2011 when I began feeling ill. I was plagued with symptoms of dizziness, persistent ear aches, sinusitis, balance problems, reoccurring nerve pain in my legs, joint pain, and then I tore the meniscus on both my knees by simply walking. I was unwell, distressed, unable to exercise, lost muscle and body tone. I gained 8 lbs.

Then in early 2013, after dozens of doctor visits and extensive medical testing, I finally received an accurate diagnosis: Lyme Disease. I began treatment with an integrative physician that included antibiotics, supplements, a gluten free and sugar free diet, walking, resting and weekly acupuncture. I was often tired, disgruntled and sad for treatment for Lyme Disease is complex, time consuming and slow.

My weight increased during this time even though I was eating a clean diet. I gained another 5 lbs. Weight gain is prominent with a Lyme diagnosis for the body has a more difficult time releasing toxics and intercellular fluid accumulates. I felt bloated and looked puffy.

In May 2014, my healing surged. Thank Goodness! However, my 5'2', in shape, fit body took a beating. I now weighed in at 131, 13 lbs. above my normal weight, which was 18 lbs. more than my ideal weight. I was 2 dress sizes larger, felt sluggish and frustrated. I wanted my body back.

I visited my family in New York and found out about the BreakthroughM2 nutritional weight loss plan. My brother had gone on the plan after deciding to lose the 50 lbs. he gained over the past decade. I was amazed at his weight loss: 65 lbs.! He went from 230 to 165 in 3½ months and looked terrific. He was once again his college weight. He went back to working out and a year later ran his first ½ marathon at age 61.

It was a no brainer. I was tired and frustrated with my weight. I was already gluten free, low carb and low-to no sugar. The weight was not budging off my body. I needed something to jump start my weight loss and decided to give it a go.

The plan was a terrific fit for me: clean eating made up of real fresh food, no processed foods, ready-made bars or shakes; a structured easy to follow eating plan, natural supplements without any stimulants; low cost and a community of support. I began it in late May 2014 and lost 18 lbs. in 23 days. I got my body back and was centered mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

How could I not share this great nutritional weight loss plan with others? Since my training as an Integrative Health Coach from Duke University's Integrative Medicine Center Professional program, I had incorporated health & wellness coaching into my practice. In the fall of 2015, I incorporated the BreakthrouthM2 program.
