Our Table, Your Conversation: Supporting You in the Everyday Conversations that Really Matter!
The kitchen table is the heartbeat of our home. It is a place of invitation where family and friends gather and engage in the everyday conversations that really matter. When our minds and hearts are full, the kitchen table seems to know. Its silent voice beckons us to gather, to encourage us to let our guard down and share the thoughts and feelings so present within.
Kitchen Table Talks: Our Table, Your Conversation, is the brainstorm of Suzanne Nixon. She believes people feel the welcoming heart and stability of the kitchen table, and often want to take the conversation to a deeper level. People are searching for friendly and wise places, in which to ask the questions that really matter and receive perspective, feedback and support. This innovative program is an organized "table" bringing individuals together for the purpose of engaging in these conversations, and is not to be misconstrued as an "on the couch", therapy group. Conversational topics are driven by the participants, and led by a professional counselor, who is skillful and mindful in the art of conversation, inquiry and facilitation.
"Wellness is more than having a healthy body,
it entails having a sound, clear and positive mind,
the ability to manage emotions,
and the ability to communicate effectively."
- Suzanne Nixon
